BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!

My personal blog:

The Wandering Woo

I left Hallmark in 2014 for an opportunity to live in Beijing, China for a year and experience life on the other side of this little blue marble. Was it a little bit crazy? Yes. Was it completely unforgettable? Heck to the yes. That's what this blog is (mostly) about.

My assignment was to write an article on the general topic of congratulating someone. I found that adding the "Even when you'd really rather not." part was a fun little twist that let me put some of my personality into it. Best of all, my editor liked it! Does this call for congratulations? Obviously.

When my mister put a ring on it and the wedding planning began, I was asked to write some tips that could help other blushing brides-to-be keep their cool and steer way clear of reality-tv-worthy meltdowns.

MAXINE CRABBY ROAD CARTOONS

This beloved Hallmark licensed property is currently "liked" by over 1,935,000 people on Facebook. Admittedly, it can be very entertaining as a writer to be the voice of this cranky (but loveable!) old woman. These are a few of my contributions that have been featured on Maxine's Facebook page.

Company: Faceplant Dreams

(Cambria Cove website, 2010)

Some say that life is not about the destination, but about the journey... and for Brigitte Ulanch, her road to happiness included a couple of bumps along the way. Brigitte started Faceplant Dreams after losing a corporate job she held for 15 years. It was a job she loved and felt she was "married to." Around that same time, Brigitte found out she was going to become a single mom. After some moments of panic, she began to really focus on what was important to her. Her company was born, and with it, the foundation for an amazing new life. Now it seems, Brigitte has managed to find that ever-elusive balance that so many working moms seek. Thanks to her 20-month-old son, she's "learned to play a riveting game of peek-a-boo." She also loves to do yoga, run, hike, bike, snowboard, and read. Clearly, her ups and downs have made her more appreciative of all she has to smile about today. "I am surrounded by my family. I have a gorgeous, healthy, joyful son. I feel free and creative in my ability to share something beautiful and fun with my customers... I'm incredibly blessed."
